Shirley serves as Women’s Ministry team Advisor at Hagerman Baptist Church in Sherman, TX. Shirley is one of the writers of the LifeWay Press publication, Transformed Lives: Taking Women’s Ministry to the Next Level and currently writes articles for the LifeWay web site. In addition, her latest book, Heart Friends, was released in June 2005.

Shirley started Beyond The Call Ministries which has lead her to travels across the country speaking at women’s conferences and retreat centers.

She has a passion for equipping women to be all that God wants them to be. Shirley has completed her Advanced Certificate of Women’s Ministry at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and serves as a LifeWay Ministry Multiplier for Women’s Ministry/ LifeWay Church Resources.

She also serves as the Women’s Enrichment Consultant for the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and is the Director of Women’s Ministry State Leadership Team.
